NComputing products are governed by lifecycle phases and included are the definitions of these phases.

Product Lifecycle Definitions




NSC

Notice of Status Change (NSC)

Notice of Status Change (NSC) is the date on which NComputing publicly communicates the specific dates for various product lifecycle milestones of a product: End of Sales (EOS), End of Basic Software Support (EOSW), End of Hardware Warranty (EOHW), and End of Life (EOL).

A NSC will be typically announced 60-90 days prior to the next lifecycle milestone . However, NComputing reserves the right to change the timeframe at its sole discretion based on business needs or technical risk for customers.

General Availability (GA)

This is the date when a new product release may be ordered and/or downloadable in all applicable delivery methods and worldwide geographies.

End of Sale (EOS)

This is the date when a specific thin client or software product will no longer be available for purchase. The EOS date is generally not applicable to a specific release of NComputing software and firmware.

If customers want to purchase Support and Subscription (SnS) for the EOS software product, or Extended Hardware Warranty or Advance Hardware Replacement for the EOS hardware product, the purchase has to be made before the EOS date.

End of Basic Software Support (EOSW)

This is the date when NComputing stops providing basic support included in the sale of the product. The EOSW date is generally not applicable to a specific release of NComputing software and firmware

End of Hardware Warranty (EOHW)

This is the date when NComputing stops accepting return merchandise authorization (RMA) requests from customers who still have hardware units under unexpired standard hardware warranties. The EOHW date is not applicable to NComputing software and firmware

End of Life (EOL)

This is the date when NComputing stops developing, repairing, maintaining, testing, or supporting the affected product and, if applicable, accepting RMA requests from customers who have extended HW warranty. For any unaddressed issue, an upgrade path or migration to the latest version or product replacement is recommended.
