For security and central management, L-Series virtual desktops can be any distance from A shared & SECURED PC

Choose the L-series if your users need to be more than 10 meters away from the shared PC. Because the L-series connects across a standard Ethernet local-area network, they just snap into place and can be just about as far away from the shared computer as you like.

Your users can simultaneously share standard applications—including web browsers, instant messaging , e-mail, office suites, and basic multimedia. Of course, additional software licenses may be required by your application software providers (be sure to check your software license agreements to ensure you have the appropriate number of licenses).

L-series benefits

  • Share one PC with up to 30 users
  • Dramatically reduce acquisition & support costs
  • Easy to set up, maintain, and secure
  • Flexible Ethernet networking
  • Supports Windows and Linux
  • Compact, reliable, and energy-efficient

Every user has their own keyboard, screen, settings, applications, and data files, so their experience is just like it would be if they were working at an independent machine. For tight security, you can lock the shared computers behind closed doors. And for harsh environments like factories, you can move the PC away from dirt, dust and vibration. In both of these cases, you need the flexibility of an Ethernet network. That way, the virtual desktops can be located in another room or clear across your facility.

If all of your workers are clustered in workgroups and are all close to the shared computers, consider the X-series.

We have two L-series models. Choose the L230 for its 24-bit graphics, microphone port, or USB Flash drive port. Otherwise, the L130 will do. They are both attractive yet unobtrusive at just 1 inch tall and 4.5 inches square. Want your desk space back? We include a VESA-compliant bracket that mounts to the back of most monitors.

The L230 and the L130 both include:

  • VGA support (up to 1280x1024)
  • Widescreen support (1440x900)
  • PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports
  • Monitor mounting bracket
  • Ethernet connection
  • Audio output
  • AC adapter

The L230 adds:

  • USB Flash drive support
  • 24-bit color depth
  • Microphone port

For the ultimate in economy and security, the L130 does not have a USB port or microphone input.

Each L-series kit includes:

  • Desktop virtualization software
  • The L230 or L130 access device
  • A VESA-compliant mounting bracket
  • A 6’ Ethernet cable
  • An AC adapter

You need to supply the PC, software, keyboards, mice and monitors.

The L-series access devices connect to the shared PC over standard Ethernet cables (plus routers, switches, etc.). Our virtualization software enables the shared PC to create unique and simultaneous user sessions so that each user gets their own PC experience.

How many users can share a single computer? It depends on your applications and expectations. An entry-level computer comfortably supports up to 10 typical users. An entry-level server supports about 30. An enterprise-class server can be configured to support more than a hundred.
