vSpace Server
NComputing vSpace Sever desktop virtualization software was developed to be independent of the host computer's operating system which allows it to run on a variety of Windows and Linux operating systems. vSpace Server changes the economics of desktop virtualization by delivering the best user density per dollar. vSpace Server enables many users to access a single operating system simultaneously. vSpace does this by virtualizing multiple independent user accounts and then dividing the computer's resources to simultaneously service up to 100 unique accounts. vSpace Server delivers a rich end-user experience that includes full screen video, multi-media, user personalization, secure desktop roaming and broad peripheral support. And for IT managers, vSpace Server brings simple, centralized management that saves time and money. Licenses for vSpace Server are included with NComputing client devices and are automatically loaded when deployed, saving IT managers even more time.
UXP: User eXtension Protocol
UXP provides the communication link between the NComputing vSpace Server software and the client devices or client software. NComputing developed UXP for continuous use by end-users that demand a full PC experience including rich multi-media, full screen streaming video and Flash, dynamic graphics, and seamless responsiveness. UXP is included with and installed as part of the vSpace Server software, the vSpace Client software and all Numo and Numo 2 based client devices.
Client Devices and Numo System-on-Chip
All client devices that connect to the vSpace Server software via UXP run a version of the vSpace Client software. The Numo and Numo 2 SoCs embed the vSpace Client software directly into the hardware to enable the chips to drive incredibly powerful yet very low cost thin clients. Numo 3 brings the same kind of innovation to the enterprise market by supporting the Citrix HDX protocol. All Numo SoCs contain various patented technologies for delivering unmatched performance from a low power ARM processor and are designed specifically for thin client computing.
Numo and Numo 2 are designed specifically for NComputing's L-series and M-series product lines. These devices embed our client technology directly into hardware and offer HD video support that uses a minimum of resources on the host and combines with a hardware video scalar that enables any video stream to be scaled to any video size with no additional performance impact to the host or network.
The Numo™ 3 chip has been specifically designed as a solution for Citrix HDX Ready clients and provides a compelling video and multimedia experience for end users. Numo 3 leverages multiple generations of NComputing innovation that is deployed in millions of seats today.
