  • Selective Virtualization

vSpace utilizes a multi-layer virtualization technique which selectively virtualizes only the necessary elements of the OS and hardware and combines that with session management to provide a great user experience utilizing only the system resources applicable to the user.

    Open, Flexible OS Support

NComputing offers the broadest platform support of any desktop virtualization vendor allowing users to choose among the most popular OS platforms including: Windows Server 2008 R2/2003, Windows MultiPoint Server 2011/10 and Ubuntu Linux 10.04 for multi-user applications, and Windows 7 64/32 bit and Windows XP for single user applications.

    Secure & Convenient Desktop Roaming

Desktop roaming, or session mobility enables a user to logoff from one client workstation and have their session "follow" them to another client workstation, enabling complete flexibility in the work environment.

    Centralized Management

The vSpace management console sets up, configures, and manages shared computers and access devices, allowing you to:

    • Remotely control a user session with user permissions.
    • Securely configure devices centrally with the ability to control who can connect USB devices
    • Automate the deployment process by using a profile to configure all other access devices in the environment
    • Assign host computer USB ports to individual users

    Rich Multimedia Support

NComputing has created its own optimized and highly efficient User eXtension Protocol (UXP), giving users a full, rich PC experience with the most responsive and interactive streaming video, Flash and 3D graphics.

    Broad Peripheral Support

vSpace manages a wide range of peripherals from speakers and microphones to USB storage devices and printers. By leveraging the native device drivers in the host system, NComputing virtual desktops do not require specialized management to extend peripheral functionality out to each user.

    • New USB Device Management: vSpace assigns remote USB disk-on-key drive letters on a per session basis.
    • New USB Touchscreen Support: Enables kiosk, POS, and other touchscreen applications for specific Planar and ELO touchscreens.
    • New Audio Architecture: Enables support for more concurrent users playing and recording audio simultaneously.
