If you have users who need to be more than 10 meters away from the shared computer, choose the L-series instead.
Each X300 kit includes:
- Desktop virtualization software
- PCI card with three ports
- Three access devices
(You need to supply the PC, application software, keyboards, mice and monitors.)
Installation is simple. Install the PCI card into an open slot. Next, plug one end of each cable into the card and the other end into an NComputing access device. Even though standard Cat 5 UTP or Cat 6 STP cables are used, they don’t carry Ethernet signals. (That’s why they can’t be longer than 5 or 10 meters, respectively.) The cables do supply the power—as well as the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and audio signals—to the access device. That means no separate power adapters, which you’ll find incredibly convenient. Now connect the keyboards, monitors, and mice to the NComputing access devices. If you need USB peripherals, simply connect them to the computer and our software will let you assign each device to an individual user.
Power up the system and install the software. You now have four users sharing one computer.
