Business people are always on the move. Wherever they are—from hotel lobbies to convention centers—they need fast and reliable access to a computer and the Internet. You need enough PC supply to keep your guests happy, especially when demand peaks. It is a challenge to do that without overspending. And keeping all of those systems running can seem like a hole in your budget that you keep dumping money into.
With NComputing solutions, that's all changed. NComputing's eco-friendly virtual desktops let you quadruple the number of stations you deploy for the same money. And NComputing solutions are so reliable, maintenance is minimized. You'll also see your cooling costs come down to earth because NComputing devices generate a fraction of the heat of a full-blown PC. No wonder more than 750,000 NComputing seats are already deployed by 15,000 organizations in 80 countries.
Your results will be dramatic
- Cut PC acquisition costs by 60%
- Reduce IT complexity drastically
- Cust electrical consumption by 90%
- Minimize risk of theft
- Increase security from viruses and malware
How it works
The NComputing solution is based on a simple fact: today’s PCs are so powerful that the vast majority of business applications use only a small fraction of the computer’s capacity. NComputing’s virtualization software and hardware tap this unused capacity so that it can be simultaneously shared by multiple stations, spreading out the cost of the PC, and typically providing four times the number of stations for the same money and with higher reliability.
Choice
We have two product lines. With both of them, each user has their own keyboard, screen, settings, applications, and data files—just as if they were an independent machine. The X-series is best for locations where all of the stations are close to the shared PC. It also is the most economical solution. The L-series uses standard Ethernet network equipment and cables, so the shared PC can be located as far away from the stations as you like—locked in a nearby closet, back office, or a server room.
Getting started
NComputing customers have established a predictable and repeatable formula for success that you can follow, too. Start with a pilot project in one of your business centers (preferably alongside standard PCs). Poll your patrons on what they think of it. You are likely to get reactions like, "I thought I was just using a really PC, but I was wondering where it was." and "How do you do that?' Even, "I think I need to tell my IT person about this." At that point, you probably want to spread the savings to all of your other facilities.
