Danbar:

I have no idea....it is sad that there is no support for us with linux, as it was advertised as compatible with linux. We are on our own! Good Luck. I am sure it would close to the same install procedure for the 200 as the 300 series....Have you tried to install the hardware or Linux? Its not like the software really works THAT well, I mean, the terminals look good and fire up and all, but, How useful is a terminal with serious mouse issues? If you open anything with a scroll bar it just auto scrolls up and down and all over the place. That I believe is an issue with the linux drivers, as I have had no replies from anyone that have gotten it to work under linux, without virtualization software. But It is pretty quiet around these forums.

To reply you, I did an install on a Mandriva 2008.0 x86_64 (all the story was posted on the old forum, which is not available now).

I did not look at any problem except for sound and usb support, just because NComputing do not support this distribution and they did not make any effort to do a "DKMS like module".

For me the materials used were the L200 series, and not the X300, any way, I did not notice any problem with the scoll mouse. The unique problem was the keyboard layout on the login screen, it was in a UK / US keyboard which is a little confuse for French (FR) keyboard and user.

What surprised in this forum is that you succeeded in opening the linux package.  I downloaded it but I couldn't open it.  Then I saw the FAQ and it said that it not compatible with Ubuntu 8.04 so I lost all interest until now.

Are you familiar with linux? The package I recieved was a debian package... ".deb" This is compatible with lots of flavors of linux, whether it will work or not would be a different story. But You should be able to open it? Or when you opened it, you recieved errors of "unresolved dependancies" ???

This doesn't answer your question, but you won't find them on NComputing's site, unfortunately.
