I have noticed that some threads are wider than can be viewed on 1024x768.  Given that this is generally the maximum resolution of  the earlier L series  I think it would be prudent to force the threads to display properly without the extra sliding bars.

PS  How about the remember login?  I find it hard to believe that you cannot assign one staffer 4 hours a week to do forum maintenance.  4 hours where that staffer is not interrupted with anything else once a week.
