The software update process is detailed in section 5 of the NComputing L-Series User Guide (here). In short, the update can be initiated through the Internet Updater in the NCT-2000-XP Start Menu folder. From there, follow the updater's prompts to download and install the latest software version.

Apparently the internet updater does not work if the PC is behind a firewall or otherwise not connected directly to the internet.

My system connects to the ftp and indicates an update is available, but the download button is grayed out. According to information in the old forums, this is because the PC is not connected directly to the internet. Can anyone confirm this is the case?

The "Download" button on the NCT/NCX software update module may be greyed-out if there are serial numbers present in your system that have not been registered.  Please confirm that all of your serial numbers are registered by running the Internet Update utility.  This solution can also be found in your NComputing product user guide and has been added to the Solution Knowledgebase.
