I have the same issue.  Just installed the X300.  The Monitors are ACER V173.  Any suggestions?

What resolution are you trying use? I have had a monitor in the past that would not display properly because the 1280x1024 was at the wrong frequency for the monitor. Have tried a different monitor? Like a CRT to see if it works and can tell you the frequency it is displaying at.

I changed the monitors and now it works.  Changing the screen resolution didn't help at all.  Any thoughts to how to make it work with the flat panel monitors?

I gather you put a CRT on the system. Your CRT should tell you the resolution and frequency of the signal. Then you just need to find a LCD panel that can produce those.

I have the same monitors!!!  The ACER V173.   They are all set to 48k, 60hz 1024x768 yet they don't work.  I can hook up a CRT no problems.  Kinda sucks we spent this money on new LCD to save money on power, and the Extenda so more students could use computers and we have nothing working :(

I have used the following LCD's successfully on the L200 and L100:
Flatron L1510S 15"
Acer AL1516ab 15"
Older Dell 15" - has good not washed out colour
Older Samsung 15"- has good not washed out colour
Viewsonic VP920B 19"- has good not washed out colour- has built in speakers
Metro 15" - has built in speakers

The older monitors are not VESA compliant. But if you are looking for something inexpensive I think going to your used Computer parts store will net you a bunch of really good 15" LCDs. Lets face facts, running a 17" not in its native 1280x1024 makes things look crappy anyway. Run a 15" in its native 1024x768.

Guys,

I got the ACER 17" monitors to work!!!  You need to change the req to 75hz and the rez is set at 800x600

Go to the Ncomputing console

Click on Local Settings

Click on Info and Settings

Click on System Settings

Right Click on x300 video card mode - there you can change the value to 800x600 at 75hz and it works.
