check for LAN speed, my L130 will only work with 100Mbps LAN. |

Befor this problem terminal connect Server, but not stability.
If stability was a problem before the update, maybe stability is the problem after the update.
Do you have the latest driver on your LAN card?
Do you have a hub or switch?
Have you tried a different port on the hub or switch?
Are you running at least Cat5E?
Could you try a new cable?
Are you using TS2 or TS3 or Auto to detect the host?
Try using TS2. |

The problem of stability was: Not allways connect from first time. Sometimes connected only on 4 or 6 tryes after server reset with switching off any antivirus (Kaspersky ore Nod) or firewall. I will try to have latest driver for LAN card... We have HUB D-Link DES-1018DG. I tried different port on HUB. Cables Cat 5e. I will try new cable... Im using autodetect on terminal. I see terminal from server and can change its properties from Server using NCT-2000-XP Console. |

Driver of LAN card - is latest... Switch new tested cables using HUB D-Link DGS-1005D (1 port - Server, 2 port - terminal) The situation is the same: Server is not ready :-( Server parametres: Celeron CPU 2,8 GHz, 512 Mb DDR |

May be the problem is the connecting server time-out period is too short for your IT structure, do you switch has port power saving functions? or firewalls has ability to throw the first data-packet? or have you installed Kaspersky or Trend antivirus? Uninstall them and try again. |

Hi,
Two months ago I had this problem too and in my case the problem was with a update driver provide by Microsoft for my video card (NVidia Quadro FX 570).
I solved this problem by removing the driver and download the lastest driver from Nvidia directly and not aply the driver from MS Windows update.
So, i suggest that you can start by removing your video driver from your system then restart the computer and test a connection from a client to see if the issue disappeared. If so, then download the driver from your manufacturer of your graphics card.
I also did a test with another graphics card from Nvidia (Quadro NVS 285) and result on the same problem. Apparently this seems to happen with Nvidia graphics cards where there are updates from Microsoft.
I hope that this result in your case.
Cheers...

okto2005 No the solution is not a fresh install each time it happens. The solution is to turn off the automatic updates and only do them when you are ready. ie have a backup and/or a roll-back point. Ncomputing Technical Support does not come through these forums. This is only a user forum. Contact them directly. |

I upgraded to the latest software last week, and now have this "Terminal Server - not yet ready" error. I didn't have a restore point made before this, and if NComputing doesn't release any updates soon, we'll end up throwing away the hardware and buying real PCs.
It's a shame, too. We had high hopes, and I'm glad we only bought 2 units for our test. It took forever to install, uninstall, reinstall, to get around a recent problem with their software. It's so annoying having to do that, and reboot. It's almost as if you find a good version, don't upgrade or you'll risk a high chance in breaking your existing installation.
Based on others' complaints about NComputing, I doubt they'll even respond or release a patch for this in any reasonable amount of time. |

Be sure that if you are using the latest NCT software, you have SP3 installed. We recently encountered the "Terminal Server - yet not ready" error on a Win XP Pro SP2 machine that was running NCT 4.03.099. After installing SP3, the error went away. |

Hello everybody, i have the same problem and after one day testing all versions with and without SP3. I call to NComputing Support and have this help. No matters the version u have (.97 or .99) with SP3, no problem. Just check your regestry, and see if you have this entry. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management] "SessionImageSize"=dword:00000020 Thx to North America Technical Support |
