I run XP SP2 on the "server" (which is a regular desktop, PIV 2.4)

The usb key works fine when plugged in directly on the server and I can access it on the terminal as well but if I plug it to the L230 then the network and the usb leds starts to blink fast and nothing happends on the terminal.

Also if I try to open a connexion on the terminal while the usb key is in, it will let me enter credentials but then is hangs until I remove the key.

I installed the V090 and upgraded it to V094. I also upgraded the firware of the L230.

The usb key is a Kingston DTI/4GB

Is there something I'm missing?

Is your USB anything other than a plain USB drive? ie not a U3 or like.
Are you on wireless connection or directly through a hardwired connection?
If Hardwire Hub or switch?

This sounds similar to what happens when I am using my USB drive from the WAN side. The lights blink madly but I have to wait about 2-3minutes until my flash drive is accessable. Just as a note, it never autostarts, it just takes 2-3 minutes until I can see it under my computer.

It's a plane USB key (Kingston).

I use a hardwire connexion through a Linksys switch (10100//1000). Both the L230 and the server are plugged in that switch. (I use this set for tests).

I tried to leave the key in for a few minutes but I can give it a try again..

Is it possible you have the UTMA/UTMB USB port support turned off?

No, it's enabled.

Meanwhile I tried to let the usb key plugged in and after several minutes, I get to see it in My computer but I still can't access it... I tried to use another terminal but same thing. So I will get another usb key and give it a try as soon as I have time.

How full/big is the USB drive? I found that my 512mb Lexarjumpdrive cleaned up is much more useful than my 1GB on my remote location (1GB is rather full).

I just tried with an empty 512mb and it works. This means that there is an issue with filled/larger keys.... :S
