What is the NComputing Community Forum? The NComputing Community Forum is a place where people considering or using NComputing products come together to support each other. It is designed to allow users to post how the product works, share their experience, ask questions of other users, and share tips & deployment techniques or solutions. Who provides the NComputing Community Forum? NComputing provides the infrastructure for the Community Forum. Users are encouraged to post requests for educational or technical advice from their peers and to respond to each other. Who can contribute to the NComputing Community Forum? Anyone can contribute. Can I get NComputing customer support on the NComputing Community Forum? The intent of this forum is community interaction, and is not an official NComputing customer support site. NComputing will provide some general information on the forum that may be of interest or educate the community. NComputing customer support will not discuss or respond to specific questions about specific customer installations. There are just too many individual characteristics of an individual installation to address in a forum environment. If you have a specific issue please contact our customer support team at http://www.ncomputing.com/support.aspx If a thread is created that is a specific customer support issue the moderator may post a note to contact NComputing customer support. Posting on the forum is the best way to engage the NComputing Community of experienced product experts. How do I post a question? Posting is simple, just open an account, find the proper thread and post a question. What do I include? Questions to your peers can be general or specific in nature. If you have a specific request to the forum it is generally best to provide a few details: - Describe the system setup (Host PC OS, Terminal model, Number of terminals, NC software version) - Describe the request and what behavior(s) or usage/changes that lead to the request - Describe the expected behavior Some of these items may be obvious to certain people, but including them is always a great way to help the community. This will make sure that community members can get the whole story without having to ask too many clarifying questions. Also, this helps community members spend their time on the forum effectively and get more questions solved. Are any NComputing employees also members of the NComputing Community Forum? Yes, some are. Can I start a thread about new products or product features I would like to see in NComputing products? Yes. We have an area for feature and product requests. Please post there. Where should I start a discussion thread? Please find the most appropriate topic and look at the existing threads to see if one already exists for the discussion you are thinking of. If there is an existing thread on the same topic, please make a post in that thread. If there is not an existing thread on the topic, please start a new one. If the discussion is appropriate for more than one topic, please find the topic that fits best and only post under that topic. What is allowed on the NComputing Community Forum? The NComputing community fosters a willing, helpful attitude on the forum, but NComputing reserves the right to remove any objectionable content at any time, consolidate posts, eliminate duplications, remove inflammatory material or adjust posts as needed. NComputing reserves the right to ban any users participating in objectionable content at any time. |
