Larry - to answer your question, I have never seen such a list. And I have been on this board since its inception.
So maybe us users can build one. So here are my suggestions:
Reboot the system every day. Windows can be set to do this. I personally use a UPS and RPS-ATX card.
Ensure you get a server version of the virus software to keep the load down.
Install the shared directory patch from Windows XP.
Turn off automatic updates to Windows. Only install the patches when you have the time to trouble-shoot.
Always download the PCExpanion software through the updater instead of installing through the updater. This way you have historical versions of the program should you need to go back a version.
