Hello,

In my conversations with prospect clients one concern has been brought up: is it possible to control how many resources a single user consume?

We all know that a frozen process can slow down a PC, also, there are careless users that can make a PC to perform poorly by opening too many windows or applications.

When we have one PC for one user this problem only affects that user. If we have a NComputing environment where multiple users are sharing the same PC, the problem can affect up to 30. This is something that might not be a bif deal in a classroom, but scares businesses.

I sent an email to NComputing support and they say that their software does not take care of that.

Does anybody know if this is something that can be managed via operating system or by any other addon application?

Thank you!

I have 5 users on an XP pro machine with AMD64X2. I have not had any issues. When I orginally setup, I was on an AMD64 3200+ single core, a user could slow the machine. Usually only briefly but you could notice. With the dual core machine I don't recall ever having the machine noticably slow.

P.S. DOS programs just running in the windows emulator bring these systems to their knees.
