After installing NComputing software (version 4.03.085 up to 4.03.094) my network connection is extremely slow.

Let me explain : the hosts on which NComputing is installed are members of a Windows domain (Active Directory 2003).

When NComputing software is activate : the host on a local network work nicely, but the host on a remote network is extremely slow.

When NComputing software is de-activate : both hosts, on the local network AND remote network work like a charm.

This append whenever NComputing software is activated and both, local host login or L200 / L230 remote login.

Why ? What can we do ?

Almost sound like a process conflict. Do you have Anti-Virus and spyware that scans all the time?

No anti-virus, no anti-psyware, no resident program, just a fresh Windows XP install : both test SP2 and SP3.

Note that if i unplug the network cable, so that network connection is off, performance are ok.
I have try to run Wireshark (Ethereal newname) and it seems that Windows always ask the domain controller if the user, for example, can clic on start menu, or can run the task manager, can view "my computer" etc...
Like if there was no caching at all ... if i uninstall the NC software, no problem ...

I was re reading your orginal post, did it work ok on the earlier version. I was going to upgrade in a couple of weeks one of my units for testing.
Have you looked in taskmanger to see if a process is using lots of ram and cpu cycles?
I had one that was intermintant fast slow and found someone keep installing quicktime to watch movies.

I don't know if it worked correctly in version before 4.03.085 because i don't have them ....

And, no, no process are using a lots of ram or cpu ...

For Quicktime and other program that launch at Windows Startup, they are all deleted : it's a domain policy that i have done to keep good performance on all machine.

Thanks for your research JohnB :)
