Funny remark ncs :)
May be someone as a copy of NClient and can post a link ?
There is no link to post. Nclient was essentially vaporware. On the old forum, there was a "topic" dedicated to Nclient. There were a few ETAs, then Ncomputing basically ignored requests for updates for several months. Much like their various time-tables regarding Vista releases. Then they ignored customer requests again for quite some time, then basically said "Release of Nclient isn't going to happen for 'Political reason'".
Ncomputing has a history of ignoring user complaints. Particularly about IMPORTANT issues like security. They had their "automatic update" software pointed to an open and insecure FTP server (with FULL READ-WRITE permissions). The problem was reported to them SEVERAL times over SEVERAL MONTHS. Anyone could have placed a virus or malware in their installation package. If Ncomputing didn't take down the old forum, I'd happily point you to the threads of complaints. I bet if they *DO* port over any of the old threads, the ones dealling with their total lack of movement on a MAJOR security flaw will some how be part of the stuff that doesn't make it.
Look how long it's taking to get something as simple as "REMEMBER LOGIN" fixed? It was reported the first week of May. Seven weeks and the ONLY response we've gotten indicated that they've ALMOST found the setting! Absurd.
Do not look for ncomputing for strong support or security. Look to them for a low-cost citrix alternative for small-medium shops. |
