Trying to use L230 with Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10, but there are some problems with this.

Installation proceed without any errors, services setup is afaik ok, but on connection there is a "Linux TS initialization error". I can't find anyting concerning this error on this forum and over internet.

Using versions 2.01.048 and 2.02.00 (not at once of course).

There is a 4.03.90 XP version on the same CD, and all is ok with it, so hardware is not a problem.

Is there more fresh version for Linux, or may be there are some problems with my hands?

P.S. Firewall disabled...

Configure your NComputing terminal and check if "Linux TS compatible" is checked.

Note : for linux, you may be have to configure a connection profile in the terminal.

@Gnome: Are you saying that you obtained Linux software from the NComputing CD that came with your unit? That is interesting. I can't find any such software on the CD of the L230 I bought in mid-June 2008. There is only Windows installation files and instructions on my CD.

I was able to get the L230 working in Ubuntu 7.04 with the software from the link in the "Ubuntu 8.04" thread. I was unsuccessful in both Ubuntu 8.04 and openSUSE 10.2. My installations were also plague with either the "Linux TS Negotiation Error" or the "Could Not Connect to Server" message. Setting the L230 for Linux compatibility did not help.

In SUSE, how do you check to see if the NComputing service is running?

@roms: How does one go about doing that? Is this just a new user with certain privileges?
