Product Release Notes for Version 4.03.092 from May 28, 2008

Thank you for using NComputing ®products. These release notes contain important information regarding the newest available release for your NComputing device or software. NComputing strongly recommends you read the entire document thoroughly prior to installation.

Product: NCX-2000-XP for X-series or X300 devices

Version: NCX-2000-XP 4.03.092

Changes since previous version include:

Windows® XP SP3 support: NComputing has tested with the SP3 update, but NComputing advises that before you update to SP3 you should first test on a system to determine the impact to your environment since Microsoft has enforced new behavior changes with Remote Desktop Users settings.

    • The following NComputing notice may appear if you install over a host with SP3 installed, “Important notice: XP SP3, Microsoft has made user account policy changes”.

    • Microsoft has made user account “policy changes” which sets a default to only allow administrators to connect using terminal services that may result in the error Microsoft message: "The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively". To overcome these changes the administrator needs to adjust user account settings to add them into "Remote Desktop Users" groups. NComputing has posted additional information on how to configure for remote user groups in our NComputing Knowledge Base at http://www.ncomputing.com/support.aspx. To locate this information in the knowledge base; search on the words "logon rights" or "remote desktop users."

Reported errata that were corrected:

- Improved video memory allocation for both paged and non-paged memory

- Compatibility with Microsoft Update "KB941693" is included in this release (in SP3)

Operating system support notice: Windows 2000 and Windows XP MCE (Media Center Edition) will no longer be supported on our products with future versions of our releases.

Within the NCT console software settings sessions, a right click on the session may trigger the MMC error screen. Just ignore the error by selecting either of the "continue..." options. This error has no impact on functionality.
