Access Devices

A finely tuned solution
Turning one computer into multiple virtual desktops requires both hardware and software. Industry leader NComputing bundles their vSpace desktop virtualization software with small boxes (also known as access devices or thin clients) for a finely tuned complete solution. NComputing has various models, varying mostly in how the clients connect to the shared computer. Each of the three cabling options described below has its own advantages.

PCI CARD
X-series

The NComputing X-series connect through a PCI card that gets installed into the PC. This direct connection doesn’t use a network, so multimedia performance is superb, but the user usually has to be in the same room as the computer. Learn more about the X-series. »
USB
U-series

The revolutionary new U-series are the simplest of all to connect, because they just snap into standard USB ports. There are no network switches to buy and no PCI cards to install. USB does have a distance limitation, but for small installations the NComputing U-series offers high-def multimedia at rock-bottom prices. Learn more about the U-series. »
ETHERNET
L-series

The NComputing L-series connect through standard Ethernet networks. With Ethernet, the user can be practically any distance away from the computer. Learn more about the L-series. »
